To contact the Komodo 4D3N desk, message WhatsApp +62 811-3823-875 or use the email link at the foot of this page. Send your dates, group size, preferred route, diver or snorkeller status and passport names. The desk answers questions and can request offers. It runs no boats, and nothing is binding until you hold a written offer.
What can you ask when you contact the Komodo 4D3N desk?
Anything about planning four days and three nights in Komodo. A specific question gets the most useful reply, because it has an answer. "Is this trip any good?" is hard to reply to. "Does this quote include park fees, and which day does the boat come back?" takes one message. If you are still working out what the trip involves, read the Komodo 4D3N guide before you write.
Good reasons to write include:
- Working out whether a route label in a listing fits what you want to see.
- Understanding what a seller's quote leaves out, using the line items on Komodo 4D3N cost.
- Comparing a shared boat with a private one for your group.
- Fitting flights around a boat's departure and return.
- Asking for a written offer once your dates are firm.
Some questions only a provider can answer, and it is better to know that now. Whether a named boat's safety certificates are current is for its provider to show you, and we do not rate or vouch for vessels. Weather, sea state and sightings stay outside any promise from this desk. A safe fitness level for weak swimmers, older travellers or children is a question for the provider, in writing, and to your doctor if health is involved.
What details help us answer faster?
Each item below changes the reply you get. Send what you know and mark the rest as open.
| Detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Exact dates, and how flexible they are | Maika Dive says a park ticket is bound to one passport number and one set of dates, with no transfer, so a date change is more than a calendar edit. |
| Group size and ages | Decides whether a shared or whole-boat quote makes sense. The UK government also notes child-size life jackets may be unavailable. |
| Route interest: north, central or south | Tells a provider what to quote against. Maika Dive says the captain may still adjust routes for current or wind. |
| Diver or snorkeller, with certification and logged dives | Changes the boat, the sites and the price. Ask the provider what entry level it sets for diving. |
| Full names exactly as printed in the passport | Neptune Liveaboards says the name entered in the park system must match the passport exactly. |
| Arrival and departure flights, if booked | Shows at once whether a boat's hours can work with your plan. |
The passport point catches people out, so it deserves a moment. Neptune Liveaboards, an operator, describes the step: a licensed operator enters each liveaboard guest into SiOra from passport details. A nickname or a dropped middle name in your booking can then become a problem at a stage when it is awkward to fix. Give the name as printed. There is no need to send a passport scan in a first message; wait until a written offer tells you who needs it and why.
Here is a message you can copy and adapt:
Dates: 12 to 15 of the month, can move by two days. Group: two adults. Interest: central and north. Activity: one certified diver with 40 logged dives, one snorkeller. Cabin: private if possible. Flights: not booked. Question: which options fit, and what is excluded from the quoted figure?
That is an invented sample to show the format. Your own version can be shorter. Four lines are enough for a first reply.
What should you check yourself?
Some checks are yours whichever seller you use, and a good seller will not mind them.
The boat, when you board. The UK government calls boat travel in Indonesia potentially dangerous, adding that the sea can turn quickly and that standards differ from boat to boat. Its advice is to look at the life jackets and lifeboats yourself, to remember that child sizes may be missing, and to stay off the water after dark if the vessel does not satisfy you. Read our collected record on is a Komodo boat trip safe before you commit.
Your insurance. The UK government's health page warns that treatment for a serious injury may not be available in remote areas, and that an evacuation can bring a very large bill. Read your policy for boat travel and, if you dive, for diving, then ask the insurer about anything unclear. Do this before paying a deposit.
The ticket terms. Maika Dive describes date-locked, non-transferable park tickets. Ask your provider who buys the ticket, when, and what happens if the date changes.
The plan's flexibility. Maika Dive warns, on the page for its three-day trip, that strong current or wind can lead its captain to change the route, swap sites, hold the departure or move the trip. Assume something similar could happen on any boat, and read what your contract says about it.
How do offers work?
The desk sits inside a travel guide and takes requests. An enquiry here can end in a paid booking, which gives us a commercial stake in it, so weigh what we say with that in mind. The about page explains the arrangement, and the disclaimer sets out what we do not guarantee.
The sequence is simple:
- You send your question or trip details.
- The desk answers what it can and asks about anything missing.
- If you want to go further, you may receive a written offer. It states the price, any fee and your contracting company, before you agree to anything.
- You decide. Nothing is held or confirmed until a written offer says so and you accept it.
A chat message saying a date looks open is only a conversation. A useful written offer should name the vessel, the dates, the cabin type, the inclusions and exclusions, the deposit, the balance date and the cancellation terms, along with what happens if the route, the boat or the departure changes. If any of these is missing, ask for it to be added before you pay.
How do you report a fact that looks wrong?
Please do. Fees, routes and rules change, which is why published figures on this site carry a checked month. A useful correction contains three things: the page address, the sentence or figure you think is wrong, and a link to the source that says otherwise. An official notice or the provider's own current page helps most.
If you work for a provider named on a page and your listing has changed, send the current link and we will check it against what we published. We change a page because a source supports the change, and a request alone will not move a figure. If two credible sources disagree, we show both and name each, as the size of the park and the flight time from Bali show elsewhere on this site.
What do people ask before they write to us?
How do I contact the Komodo 4D3N desk?
Use WhatsApp on +62 811-3823-875 or the email link at the foot of this page. Those two channels are the only ones the desk uses, so a number or address found elsewhere is not ours.
What can I ask the Komodo 4D3N desk?
Ask about routes, boats, cost lines, timing and flights, or ask for a written offer. Questions about a named boat's safety paperwork or personal fitness belong with the provider, and health questions belong with your doctor.
Does Komodo 4D3N reply on WhatsApp?
Yes, WhatsApp is one of the two desk channels, and it suits short questions. We publish no fixed reply time. Email suits longer outlines or attachments such as a quote you want read.
Who can answer questions about a Komodo 4 day trip?
The desk can answer general planning questions. Only the provider can confirm the specifics of its own boat, such as equipment, entry levels for diving and the exact schedule, so ask it directly and in writing.
How do I get a written offer for a Komodo 4 day trip?
Send firm dates, group size, activity and cabin preference, and ask for an offer. Any fee, the price and the contracting company are stated in it. Until you accept one, nothing is reserved for you.

How do I reach the desk?

Both reach the same desk, so pick one and avoid sending the same request twice.
